Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater seeks a Technical Director to oversee scenic changeovers and show upkeep. This individual will co-lead scenic installs according to designer drawings as built by a third-party shop. They will collaborate with Scenic Designers, and communicate overhire needs to the Production Manager. The Technical Director is a key member of the production team and is expected to demonstrate strong management skills, collaborate with artistic staff, multi-task effectively, and meet deadlines. Responsibilities:
-Work with scenic designers to safely execute designs in collaboration with an outside shop
-Oversee all scenic work calls for proper installation, notes, and changeover of production
-Manage install and paint crews in coordination with the shop
-Track costs and report expenses to the Production Manager
-Attend production meetings and technical rehearsals as needed
-Maintain shop equipment and inventories
Qualifications:
-Strong carpentry and rigging skills for theatrical production
-Leadership experience and strong collaboration skills
-Excellent communication and organizational skills
-Familiarity with CAD and construction drawings
-Experience working with early-career technicians and college aged interns

Paul + Emile Changeover: Sept 7-13
Paul + Emile Tech: Sept 14- 17 (Monday notes)
Paul + Emile Load Out / Post-season maintenance: October 14 +ndash; 24

Pay: $27.00/hour
